Experienced commercial closed bell divers wishing to follow the IMCA career structure in order to become a qualified closed bell diving supervsior must undertake this approved training course. On successfull completeion you will be issued with an IMCA Trainee Closed Bell Diving Supervisor certificate which then allows you to log the panel hours. Once the panel hours have been logged you can be sponsored by an IMCA member company to sit the IMCA Closed Bell Diving Supervisor examination, which, once passed, certifies you as a fully qualified Offshore Closed Bell Diving Supervisor.

a. Hold an IMCA recognised closed bell diving qualification. Anyone who has comparable training and experience can contact the IMCA Scheme Administrator for a decision by the Assessment Panel.
b. Have demonstrated competence as an offshore bell diver in accordance with IMCA C 003 Rev.1 competence & assurance scheme.
c. Have completed 400 lock-out hours.

Candidates are not eligible to attend such courses until they have complied with criteria a and b above.
