Modern day diving systems require highly trained personnel to carry out installation and maintenance.
Many contractors use full time on-site 'Systems Technicians' to ensure equipment complies with local regulations, legislation and down time caused by breakdown is reduced to a minimum.
This course is to familiarise qualified technicians from outside the diving industry with equipment and procedures used by the major diving contractors.
Both theory and practical training is given including diving physics and physiology, communication systems, electrical safety, the safe handling of oxygen and other gases, calibration of oxygen analysers, installation / maintenance and testing of plant and equipment and emergency procedures as recommended by IMCA under their International ACoPs and Guidance Notes/Safety Memos etc.
The Air Diving System Technician course (5 days) covers Commercial Air Diving Equipment & Techniques and the Saturation Systems Technician course (10 days) covers Commercial Saturation Diving Equipment & Techniques.
